RCRS 092903: Commentary on Yoga and Rife Tech We have documents in our library purporting to be actual reports from people who have met with the ancient Hindu yogi referred to as "Babaji". In any general science course, the first thing we are taught is 'the scientific method'. Everyone knows the spiel. Hypothesis Data Experiment Result: End? Hypothesis becomes probative or it is faulty. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Reducing all things to dogma is the current science in America. That is not the way of John Dewey, Sidney Hook, Alfred North Whitehead or any of the great American philosophers. So-called scientists of today in America have a god. That god is Einstein, even though they don't understand him, nor do they know that his wife did most of the reading, writing, and thinking. But women, with rare exceptions in the history of science, in those days couldn't get a word in edgewise. That is a different subject. The point here is: Yoga is a science. It is not a religion. It is an experimental science, an empirical science to some degree, and an outworking of a principle espoused in their literature. Their literature is, of course, quite fantastic. We read in Bharatan (read India) literature of airplanes and flying saucers (vimana), electronics, alchemy or physics and chemistry (we know for a fact heavier elements can decompose into simpler ones...what is that but 'transmutation'?), etc. Then we come to our very obvious general popular interest in 'Rife tech'. We have several thousands of bytes on our web-site about this. Any interested reader using a search engine can put in any question they want on Rife, and they will always find a page or two referring them back to the RCRS. Big deal. Interesting stuff. But many people want results more than theory, history, etc. So here is a simple experiment you can perform, and the reasons for why it works. The brain is a transformer and an amplifier. The yogis have a science called 'kriya' yoga. I have just recently published something on this, as all subscribers should know. When you swallow, the tongue touches the back of the throat. The tongue then flows naturally forward, and the act terminates at the front of the mouth, usually just above the upper front teeth. This is one of the most basic excersizes of kriya yoga, the yoga taught by Babaji. There are other esoteric exersizes they do that have different effects, but as they tell us, these are things that should only be done under supervision by a qualified expert to guide one due to the need for careful evaluation of the individual. Just as any good doctor will not treat a patient without seeing that patient. You don't get good medicine over the internet. But this little exersize is easy, harmless, and has powerful effects on the function of the brain. Its called 'drinking water'. Many people have heard: Drink eight glasses of water a day. Dr. Batmangheldji (sp?) wrote an excellent book entitled: Your body's many cries for water. Everyone should read it. At one of the Rife conventions a brilliant woman gave a talk on the power of color to heal us. Very interesting talk. Not very popular with the 'Rifers', but I thought it was vastly important. She talked of the transposition of sound into light and vice versa. When you swallow, amongst the first voluntary acts of the fetus, you say the word "GOD". That is the origination of that word. It is Kriya Yoga, the first aspect of that science. They call this Talabya kriya, or Kechari Mudra. A more advanced form of this involves something that should only be done under supervision, but I know for a fact it is an act that comes naturally to some. Maybe you know it. In yoga, they discuss the meaning of Mantra, or an act that causes 'fear to vanish'. In fact, the word fear derives from the reverse of the Indo-European root RA-EFF. Similar impulses compels some people to say GRRRRRR. and F.....k. It is very interesting to me that the name RIFE is very close to this primitive sound system, a systematized science involved in MANTRA, a branch of RAJA YOGA. We have four basic branches of yoga. Pranayama, Hatha, Raja and Kriya. The Tibetan Buddhists categorize these somewhat differently, but the basics are all associated with the four Vedas and their associated Upanishads. This is SCIENCE, not religion. Religion is categorized under a class of people who are EMOTIONAL, and devotionalism is part of the human experience, and thus these things must all be included in a complete science. We can show anyone who is willing to go through the trouble, that thoughts are things with so simple a tool as a mirror. When you are happy, stand in front of a mirror. You will see light, a bright face, raised eyebrows, etc. When yoga is performed properly, it raises the body vibrations. Why should we not share this information freely? Part of our training was that we must not jump to conclusions. The ability to be comfortable with uncertainty is part of the discipline. There is even a place for a healthy respect for power that is just before the raw impulse we call FEAR. Fear is a definite sign of danger. That is one of the beauties of a teacher....a GURU...or one WHO KNOWS. We know for a fact that the word GOD has nothing to do with any religion, which are all cultural traditions, and not SCIENCE. People received science, and they adapted the science to their personal BELIEF systems, which are all very individualistic, and not based on FACT, not based on TRUTH, not based on REPEATABLE steps with definite results. The RCRS is not a religious organization. It isn't even an 'organization' in the strict definition of the term, but a research group of definite individuals, all highly trained in the sciences, men of science who cannot be influenced. So we only say what we know from first hand experience, and which we can prove. We can prove, that everyone every day says the word GOD, and that word sets up a vibration in the brain that is amplified and then travels to every cell in the body, and the body responds by sending out a current that can picked up by so simple a device as a actinoscope. Of course we have much more sophisticated equipement than that today, and we can photograph the effects of this 'back to front' grounding to the brain and body, and this results in a definite release of energy. The yogis tell us that this energy, 'prana', can be used to accomplish all things. In fact, nothing is done without it. And it will regenerate the body to any degree we allow. We can direct it, move it, concentrate it, and even send electrical impulses over it to such an extent it will interfere with ordinary electrical transmission. It can do all that any 'Rife' machine or Lakhovsky machine or any machine can do. Why waste time and money on 'equipment' if you can do it with your body? That energy can impinge on ordinary film emulsion. Try it, and then report your own findings. Remember: Science draws no conclusions, it tests, records and communicates findings. Later, you can hypothesize all you want. rsc
